Large intergrown lustrous crystals, to about 7 mm across, of Zincolivenite, cover the surface of a very large miniature to small cabinet-size brick-red, iron-stained Dolomite matrix from Tsumeb mine. The Zincolivenite is most unusual in that its colour varies markedly, including bluish amazonite-green; dark-leaf green and opaque pale peppermint greenish-white. Individual crystals can exhibit all three of these colour variations, giving a patchy, mottled appearance. The crystals are sharp and well terminated and form a fascinating and somewhat different Zincolivenite from Tsumeb.
