Chlorargyrite var. Embolite is one of the rare species for which Broken Hill in New South Wales, Australia is famous. That is because of the phenomenal richness that some specimens attain compared with other world occurrences, but this stunning cabinet-sized display piece takes that even further in its quality. It is from the Broken Hill Proprietary mine, and features a 10 cm long, elongated aggregate of resinous white platy Cerussite crystals about which a large section is coated with classic mid-grey waxy-looking Chlorargyrite. Texturally, the silver chloride mineral presents like the surface of a sandy beach riddled with worm casts. Museum quality or world-class, call it what you like this is a magnificent display of this geochemically unusual silver-bearing species. It comes with a custom-made acryllic display stand.
