A single zoisite var. tanzanite crystal with an unusual modified termination, and nice medium color. Gemmier in person: the photo accentuates the iron oxide deposits on the outside of the crystal. The inside of the crystal is virtually "gem" and extremely transparent. This crystal is unheated, and displays strong trichroism with violet, blue, and yellow-green depending on the axis. Acquired Denver 2022.
