A loose fairly sharp crystal of semi lustrous almandine. In good condition.Madagascar Claim #1 in Flick Gulch, Gunnison County, Colorado, is a small historical mining claim whose precise opening and closing dates are not formally documented in public historical records, though most regional claims in this mineral belt date back to the late 19th or early 20th century mining booms. Geologically, the area is characterized by rugged Precambrian basement rocks, including gneiss and schist, cut by complex pegmatite dikes and locally overlain by younger Tertiary volcanic tuffs and sedimentary deposits.
