This is a classic and very aesthetic Japan-law twin Quartz specimen from Ganesh Himal, Nepal, a sub-range of the mighty Himalayas. This lovely, transparent twin is perfect in form and composed of two lustrous, slightly flattened Quartz crystals with very faintly developed horizontal striations perpendicular to the c-axis. At the base of the twins is a small, floral cluster of water-clear Quartz crystals that adds the perfect touch to the already great aesthetics of this open twin. You would not necessarily have expected Alpine Cleft-type minerals to appear in such heavily metamorphosed rocks (think Rubies in marble for this area), but nonetheless, here they are! This is from a famous 2018 find that produced some of the best-known Quartz twins from here.
