A thick multicolored prismatic double terminated crystal of dravite 5.0 cm in length surrounded by blocky crystals in great condition all around.of white albite.Mwajanga, located in the Simanjiro District of the Manyara Region in Tanzania, is a specialized mineral locality rather than a formal corporate mine, meaning exact historical opening and closing dates for commercial operations are not officially documented, though artisanal and specimen diggings have operated intermittently since the late 20th century. Geologically, the site is situated within the Mozambique Belt of northern Tanzania, characterized by late Proterozoic high-grade metamorphic rocks. The local geology features complex metasedimentary formations including graphitic gneisses, marbles, and calc-silicate rocks, where specialized pocket environments within calcite and dolomite host notable mineral specimens such as vanadium-rich dravite tourmalines alongside natrolite and opal.
