Purple Fluorite Mineral Specimen from Henan Province, Cubic Crystal Cluster

This specimen is from the Funiu Mountain mining area, Henan Province, China. Henan is a well-known fluorite producing area in China. The medium-low temperature hydrothermal environment of the Funiu Orogenic Belt produces plenty of high-quality fluorite. This piece is composed of stacked cubic fluorite crystals with rich gradient purple hues. The crystal faces are sharp and smooth with strong glassy luster. The stacked crystals form a spectacular three-dimensional cluster. Fluorite exhibits characteristic fluorescence under UV light. It is a popular natural mineral specimen for collection and science display.
