GREEN & GOLD CONGO MAGIC

What an awesome combination!

A killer Dioptase with Mimetite from the N’tola Mine, Mindouli District, Pool Department, Republic of the Congo — pairing intensely saturated emerald-green Dioptase crystals with brilliant golden-yellow Mimetite. The contrast is absolutely electric.

Sharp, glassy Dioptase crystals explode across the specimen while that vivid yellow Mimetite adds another dimension of color and texture. Every angle has something going on, and the green-and-gold combination makes this little beauty impossible to ignore.

This is exactly the kind of colorful, unusual association that makes Congo minerals so much fun to collect. Earth’s art doing what it does best.
