Firefly Petroleum Skeletal Quartz Cluster, Madagascar – Natural Matrix Specimen

This high‑grade specimen is a natural petroleum‑bearing skeletal quartz cluster from Madagascar, preserved with its complete native quartz matrix.

The crystals feature a striking castle‑like skeletal growth pattern with sharp, transparent crystal faces. Tiny golden hydrocarbon‑petroleum inclusions are sealed deep within the crystal lattice, which glow vividly under ultraviolet light — widely known among collectors as “Firefly Quartz”.

Petroleum‑included quartz forms under extremely rare geological conditions: liquid oil was trapped inside the quartz during crystallization millions of years ago. Complete undamaged clusters like this one are scarce on the mineral market.

It is a fine museum‑grade collector specimen, perfect for mineral display, geological study and crystal collection. 100% natural, untreated raw crystal.
