Light pink crystallized rhodochrosite quite rich across a crystallized quartz matrix. In good condition. Nice for this somewhat obscure locality. The Enyovche deposit (often spelled Enyovche Mine or Enjovche), located near Ardino in the Kardzhali Province of the Eastern Rhodopes in southern Bulgaria, is a notable historic mining site. Geologically, the deposit is situated within the complex metamorphic and igneous terrain of the Rhodope Massif, associated with skarn systems and post-orogenic hydrothermal activity where metal-bearing fluids interacted with carbonate-rich rock sequences. Mineralogically, the area is famous for its diverse skarn assemblages, including significant lead-zinc mineralization, manganese-rich zones, and notably representing one of the most representative occurrences of rhodonite in Bulgaria alongside various manganese oxides and silicates. Historically, commercial mining operations at the site focused heavily on its mineral resources, recording active production of manganese ore between 1959 and 1971, though operations have since concluded and the deposit is exhausted.
