Fluorapatite from Myanmar, Mandalay Region, Oak-saung-taung, Mogok Valley, Mogok Township, Pyin-Oo-Lwin District

This fluorapatite was acquired some years ago. I love the gem quality of it as well as the extremely strong pleochroism it exhibits. These specimens came from Myanmar in the 90s and early 2000s and are hard to find nowadays. I enjoy the strange ripples on the different faces as I have no idea why it grew that way. Really cool specimen that has a fun color changing party trick! The blue color when shown through a polarized backlight is wonderful!
