Wayne Thompson was one of the primary importers of Milpillas azurite in its heyday, from about 2008-2015. He kept a few choice miniatures from his dealings for himself, including this gorgeous combination piece from the early 2010s. The specimen shows off azurites to 2 cm, perched on contrasting, velvety malachite for best color contrast. Long in IKONS book author Wayne Thompson's personal collection of Miniatures/Thumbnails built with his daughter, Stevia, when she was young. Laszlo Kupi photo.
