A choice miniature with razor sharp azurite crystals, so refined that they look carved, to 3 cm across. The cluster is pristine and complete all around. It has minor brochantite on the back, indicating a pocket around 2013-14, when Wayne purchased this from Evan Jones (for $3500 at that time). Although there are many Milpillas azurites, this is a particularly striking miniature, and carefully chosen by somebody who himself has handled over 1000 of these in the heyday of the mine, for his own personal collection. Long in IKONS book author Wayne Thompson's personal collection of Miniatures/Thumbnails built with his daughter, Stevia, when she was young. Laszlo Kupi photo.
