Lustrous crystals of grossular to 0.4 cm in size on one side of matrix with crystallized magnetite. In good condition. Good locality example for the species.The Pohla-Tellerhauser Mine, located near Schwarzenberg in the Ore Mountains of Saxony, Germany, is a historic underground mining complex with centuries of recorded activity focused on iron, tin, and uranium. Historically, small-scale medieval workings targeted skarn-type iron and tin ores, while large-scale modern extraction took place during the twentieth century under the SDAG Wismut enterprise to supply uranium. Geologically, the deposit is situated within complex metamorphic mica schists and gneisses near intrusive granite contacts, hosting extensive skarn zones and hydrothermal vein networks. The mine is well-known among mineral collectors for producing diverse mineral species, including crystallized bismuth, barite, silver, etc.
