Viitaniemiite from Pakistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Shigar District, Braldu Valley, Chhappu

Here is an absolutely magnificent example of the ultra-rare species, Viitaniemiite. This is a sodium calcium manganese aluminium phosphate fluoro-hydroxide. Only rarely found as a small scattering of flattened white, bladed crystal with minor translucency... this in comparison is a museum class monster! This 3400 gram piece is covered in hundreds of beautiful, well formed crystals. In addition, these are mixed with numerous, fabulous, deep green Tourmaline crystals. All arranged on top of opaque white feldspar. This may well be one of the BEST specimens of this elusive species ever discovered! An incredible and fabulously aesthetic example that would grace any high grade collection or museum display.
