Scolecite Chalcedony Sun

An uncommon scolecite intimately intergrown with botryoidal chalcedony. This one off find departs from typical examples of both minerals; scolecite threaded with lustrous hematite inclusions, and chalcedony grown into tightly formed, grape like (botryoidal) crusts. The result is a striking duality; one face presents vivid, hematitic warmth, vibrant orange, red highlights within scolecite; while the reverse displays the serene, satin gray botryoidal chalcedony in sculptural relief. The overall effect is quietly theatrical, the composition catching light like a miniature sunburst. Double-sided and highly aesthetic, this piece will appeal to the discerning cabinet. A conversation quality specimen prized for its rarity, exceptional contrast, and refined color palette.
