Galena with Fluorite
1
Renowned for huge cabinet-sized combinations of cubo-octahedral Galena crystals on large, thick beds of purple Fluorite crystals, this smaller, thin plate of gemmy pale purple Fluorite crystals is gracefully accompanied by bright lustrous blue-grey cubo-octahedral Galena crystals to 1.5 cm on edge. The Galena crystals, of which there are at least six, are absolutely pristine and display perfectly. The bed of Fluorite is mostly transparent smaller (2 to 4 mm) cubes, but with some slightly larger twinned crystals, the largest to 7 mm on edge. A small yellowed label attached to one end is Roger Harker's characteristic handwritten label, and this documents that is was collected in 1968.
