Calcite on Uvarovite

Uvarovite in calcite from Saranovskii is not rare. Calcite on uvarovite, however, is. Matte but gemmy calcite crystals on a uvarovite carpet on chromite matrix. Sparkles like crazy and has a wonderful color.

Exhibited at the YMC case in the prestige exhibit of the Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines Show 2025
