Scorodite with Karibibite on Lollingite

Unknown Owner
Excellent, highly lustrous dark grey to teal-blue 'bipyramidal' Scorodite crystals richly coat the altered surface of a large dense mass of partially oxidized bladed silvery Löllingite from Oumlil mine in the Bou Azzer District, Morocco. The Scorodite crystals reach 3 to 4 mm across and are extremely well-formed for the species with a sparkling lustre. Associated with the Scorodite is the even rarer species Karibibite, as slightly resinous orange crusts coating the oxidized surface of the Löllingite. The Karibibite does not show individual crystals, but the Scorodite is really fine. Ex Nick Hawes collection. This specimen has reportedly been illustrated, although it is unclear where exactly.
