Although known to have produced good Dravite tourmaline crystals it is rare to find any available from the aventurine feldspar (sunstone)-bearing pegmatite at Bjordam, Bamble, Vestfold og Telemark, Norway. This lovely miniature specimen from the superb systematic collection assembled by the brothers Martin and Michael Günther (1951-2007 & 1956-2021), and earlier Hans-Peter Karch, features a 1 cm wide, well-formed, equant, individual black glossy Dravite crystal standing slightly proud upon pegmatite material. There is some minor tiny chipping to one corner of the Dravite, but this does not overly detract from the quality of this rarity.
