Bayldonite from Namibia, Oshikoto Region, Tsumeb
A classic bayldonite/arsentsumebite pseudomorph after mimetite crystals sprinkled with electric blue azurite from the 1st oxidation zone of the Tsumeb deposit in Namibia. Detailed EPMA-WDS study of several fragments extracted from this piece revealed that bayldonite is predominant constituent. Size of specimen is 4.5 x 4 cm. Collected circa 1920s. My collection.
