This lustrous Annabergite from Greece, featuring vibrant 0.2 cm crystals elegantly perched on matrix, is a fine early 20th-century specimen complete with its original label, as seen at the end of the video. The piece is in good condition and showcases the characteristic bright green hue and crisp crystal surfaces that make Annabergite a visually striking nickel arsenate. Greek localities, particularly historic nickel-rich mines in the Lavrion district and elsewhere, were important sources of classic European nickel minerals during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, prized by collectors for their rarity and color. As an antique specimen from this era, it combines both aesthetic appeal and historical significance, offering a tangible link to the early days of mineral collecting in Greece and making it a distinguished addition to any refined collection. The specimen comes with an antique label dating the piece to the early 20th century. This is shown at the end of the video.
