Tungstite on Ferberite after Scheelite
Tungstite on ferberite after scheelite, 7.5 cm, from the Gikunda mine, Gifurwe, Cyeru, Rwanda. Wilson Forte and I were allowed to dig in a rich patch of ferberite and cassiterite in a laterized pegmatite being worked by artisanal miners in November 1976. We found several of these but had to pay the miners for the ore value!
