Creedite is a calcium sulfofluoride mineral that forms colorless to vibrant orange to lemon-yellow crystals in hydrothermal veins and cavities. It commonly displays elongated, prismatic habits with a glassy to vitreous luster and often occurs as small, well-formed crystals embedded in matrix. The mineral is associated with secondary uranium and rare earth element minerals in Mexican deposits, and abundant specimens have come from notable localities in Kazakhstan, China, the United States, and Bolivia, making it a familiar sight among sulfide and fluoride assemblages.
