    Tonglushan Mine, China

This locality produces a wide range of collectible items from common under $100 starter rocks to large flawless pieces worth tens of thousands of dollars. There are definitely some masterpieces from this locality even though China calcites are considered common. We think it's a great buy for a new collector whose taste is still developing.

    Missouri, USA

Missouri has some epic calcite specimens and when we say epic we mean it - the Sweetwater Mine dragonscale calcites are straight out of a fantasy book and are almost unicorn level rare given they only come from one mine. Missouri also has Brushy Creek mine which produces very showy chalcopyrite-covered calcite specimens.

    Fengjiashan Mine, China

Fengjiashan mine is well-known not only for producing variety, but also rare quality when it comes to gemmy pink manganoan calcites. We are proud to have one of the best manganoan calcites from this locality listed on EarthWonders.
