This is an amazing thumbnail of the rare mineral wendwilsonite. A beautiful, lustrous group of magenta wendwilsonite aesthetically sits with several crystals of calcite. The main crystal group is 1.1cm which is exceptional for the mineral. This fantastic piece is from the collection of Dr. Wendell E. Wilson, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of the Mineralogical Record who the mineral was named after. From the type locality Bou Azzer, Morocco. This specimen is a must have for any thumbnail collector!
