Panasqueira, in Portugal, is famous among mineral collectors for a variety of fine minerals which it has produced. Although it is not generally known as fluorite producer, the fluorite that does come from Panasqueira is often outstanding. This 9.1 cm specimen is no exception. Consisting of stacked, dark purple cubes of fluorite on matrix with quartz crystals, it’s a true crowd pleaser. The fluorite cubes show lots of interesting growth steps and modifications, making the specimen not only beautiful, but also super interesting.
