Instead of the typical acicular, botryoidal clusters, the Cavansite crystals of this Wagholi specimen are more delicate, isolated, and evenly dispersed, precipitating like blue snowflakes over a nest of Stilbite crystals. The color is characteristically intense, a bright cerulean. The Stilbite, in contrast, is all bright white, pearlescent, and doubly-terminated: the curving-out and fanning of the two terminations on each crystal are a nice example of macromosaicism. The entirety of the matrix is well-coated by these two minerals, and the richness of the crystallization is impressive!
