Rhodochorosite

Exceptional specimen of gemmy Cheery-red Rhodochrosite on Tetrahedrite

This is a gorgeous miniature with rhombs to 2.5 cm which exhibit a deep red color and excellent “gemminess” against the dark Tetrahedrite crystal matrix.

The front rhomb has a complex, stepped right face where it terminated

against another rhomb that is no longer present. The specimen is beautifully trimmed and in excellent condition.

Location: From the Millenium Pocket, Sweet Home Mine, Alma, Park County, Colorado.

Measures: 3.5 x 5.2 x 2.3 cm in total size
