World class specimen: Superb Aquamarine from Choomoor Bakhoor Mine, Nagar Valley, Northern Areas, Pakistan
Incredible New find! I bought this fantastic specimen directly from the mine owner from Chumar bakor mine, Nagar Valley, Northern Areas, Pakistan. It was found in August 2013.
With perfect terminations and georgeous translucent crystals with quality color on the faces. The aesthetics of the combination with the albite matrix makes this piece of “mineral art“ truly outstanding, and this is an eye-catching example of this desirable gem minerals worthy of the most advanced collector's cabinet.
This specimen is particularly aesthetic and interesting, with a large 16 cm tall group of exceptionally-gemmy aquamarine crystals accented by a beautiful matrix. The combination is great. It has a natural internal fracture, and has not been repaired in any way. Absolutely stunning.
The specimen measures 16cm tall and 18,5cm wide.
Location: From Chumar Bakor Mine, Nagar Valley, Northern Areas, Pakistan
Measures: 16.0 x 18.5 x 7.5 cm in total size.
And many thanks to Laszlo Kupi from Finemineralphotography for this fantastic shot! @finemineralphotography
