Hot pink tourmaline

A tourmaline crystal featuring an unusually vibrant red to hot pink color. The section in the middle is highly transparent. This one came out of the collection of Guido Steger, who spent several decades visiting Brazil in search of mineral specimens. His adventures are chronicled in several articles in The Mineralogical Record.
