Description
Bright green microcrystalline Arthurite and blue-grey Scorodite line the surface of a cavity which forms most of the display surface on this small cabinet-sized specimen. Both species are secondary hydrated iron arsenates, but Arthurite contains the addition of copper. Arthurite is named in honour of two famous British mineralogists, Sir Arthur Russell and Arthur Kingsbury, and Hingston Downs Consols is the Type Locality - where it was first discovered. Ex Malcolm Southwood collection.
