Description
Moving away from Broken Hill, this most attractive Pyromorphite is from the Kangiara Copper mine (aka Kangiara mine) in King County, New South Wales, Australia. This specimen is composed entirely of Pyromorphite and has two distinct colours; light yellowish chartreuse-green and a deeper mid-leaf-green with lighter apple-green tips. Crystal size and colour differentiate the specimen into a vein-type morphology, the outer sides exhibiting various shades of chartreuse and the central darker crystals being longer, attaining around 1.5 cm. An excellent Pyromorphite from this seldom-seen locality.
