While we don't have a complete history, this piece likely dates back to the late 1980s or early 1990s. This specimen is from the personal collection of Jack Halpern, who was often praised for his selection in colorful fine mineral specimens throughout his lifetime involved in the mineral collecting hobby. This specimen is a perfect example of what caught "Gentleman Jack's" eye--robust color, natural geometry and refined form.
