This splendid small miniature of beautifully crystallised Babingtonite is from the Hongquizhen quarry in Meigu County, Sichuan, China. Two dark greenish black Babingtonite crystals grow in parallel and are attached to each other, one measuring 1.9 x 1.3 x 0.8 cm, the smaller, 1.7 cm tall. These are attached to colourless, translucent to transparent terminated Quartz crystals and pale pastel green Prehnite with a micro-bubbly texture. \n
