Sylvanite
Sylvanite, a gold-silver telluride, forms rich crystallised and granular ribbons and patches across the surface of a sucrosic Quartz coating on a limestone matrix. From S?c?r'mb (formerly Nagy'g), Deva, Hunedoara County, Romania, the granular Sylvanite is silvery tin-white and, where crystallised, can be either bright, lustrous tin-white or slightly tarnished to a light greyish-silver. The crystals can attain 2 to 3 mm long and are developed as monoclinic stepped rectangles.
