From Paprok in Nuristan Province, Afghanistan, a beautiful ex-matrix cluster of sub-parallel Elbaite Tourmaline crystals in pastel shades of candy pink, pale peppermint, pear and delicate sea green. All crystals begin opaque to translucent pink around their base, gradually grading to the various shades of green and often green dappled with pink. The central, main crystal is 8.5 cm tall around which are clustered several sub-parallel crystals, the larger to 5.5 cm tall. All terminations are excellent with almost everyone containing a mottled pink and sea-green cap with a bright glassy lustre. This is a very fine small cabinet specimen of gemmy to translucent, bi-coloured green and pink Elbaite Tourmaline from Paprok. The specimen comes with a custom made clear acrylic base. This is 5 cm in diameter with a bevelled upper rim and is milled to the exact profile of the specimen’s base, allowing it to securely engage and stand upright.\n
