Tucson, Arizona, USAA tremendously rich and varied specimen from Tsumeb, displaying many mineral species and two forms of pseudomorph. The dominant species is Arsentsumebite after Mimetite, which forms acidic light lime-green acicular replacements to over 2 cm all across the display face, hexagonal in cross-section and many with hollow centres. Granular Arsentsumebite also constitutes the surrounding and underlying matrix and hence the overall colour of the specimen. Nestling within the vuggy structure are many wafer-thin square tabular crystals of unusual creamy-grey-white Wulfenite and nearly all to about 2 or 2.5 mm on edge. Scattered around are numerous navy-blue Azurite crystals to about 5 mm and occasional Malachite pseudomorphs after Azurite. This fascinating specimen also has small patches of Rosasite and a mustard-yellow acicular mineral, probably remnant etched Mimetite which has not been replaced by Arsentsumebite. A great specimen indeed.
