Tucson, Arizona, USAAn outstanding large miniature of highly reflective botryoidal mounds of pale apple-green Cuprian Smithsonite covering a core of Dolomitic matrix. From Tsumeb, the Smithsonite is so lustrous, a third of the specimen appears silvery-grey at any angle due to the amount of reflected light from crystal faces. Attached to the Smithsonite as two separate clusters are sharp, double terminated crystals of Malachite after Tennantite (pseudomorphs confirmed by Charles Key) over which excellent vivid inky-blue Azurite crystals sit. Note, the smaller cluster, that could rock very slightly within its vug, has been secured in situ with one micro-drop of glue which is totally invisible. A rare and confirmed pseudomorph, with many aesthetic accompanying species.
