Stellerite
A remarkably fine cabinet specimen of highly lustrous, intergrown pink to apricot tinted, creamy Stellerite crystals measuring overall to 7.5 cm, sitting on a snow-white matrix. This beautiful specimen is from the Aurangabad Division of Maharashtra, India. The Stellerite forms as large bow-tie and wheat sheaf crystalline bundles, whose rounded terminations have a brilliant glassy, eye-catching lustre. The white matrix has the texture of Laumontite, although requires analysis or closer examination. Do look at the accompanying video clip, as this shows off this specimen's stunning aesthetics.
