A fine, gemmy lilac Kunzite crystal, the lilac variety of Spodumene, measuring to 7.5 cm displays excellent colour, lustre and habit, from the Pala pegmatite deposit in San Diego County, California, USA. The accompanying video shows this specimen in white LED light and ultraviolet light. If you have not observed Kunzite under UV wavelengths before, its fluorescence is quite striking.
