A beautiful cluster of Quartz crystals from the quarries in the Goboboseb Mountains at Brandberg in Namibia, displaying zones of water-clear Rock Crystal, Smoky Quartz and Amethyst. A 5.5 x 5 cm plate of milky Quartz is coated with Quartz crystals from 4 mm to 8 cm long. The two prominent Quartz crystals measure 7.5 and 5.8 cm. These crystals grade from translucent milky Quartz at their roots through colourless to smoky upper halves with wispy inclusions of Royal purple Amethyst. The smaller of the two crystals is sceptred.
