Deep forest to light leaf green microcrystals of Paratacamite form rich patches over a ferruginous Quartz veinstone matrix from Levant mine at Trewellard, close to St Just in Cornwall. Levant mine extended out beneath the Atlantic Ocean and it engine houses remain on the cliff tops to this day. Paratacamite is a copper-zinc halide, often formed in the Cornish mines as due to interaction with seawater.
