Fairly rich green micro crystals of botryoidal cornwallite across matrix with minor pale green strashimirite and blue azurite. In good condition. The specimen comes with a previous label from the collection of Eric Laskowski. He collected the piece in the year 2000.Located in the Antelope Mining District of Pershing County, Nevada, the Majuba Hill Mine is set within a complex Tertiary rhyolite intrusive plug that penetrated Triassic sedimentary rocks. The locality is renowned for extensive hydrothermal alteration and rich, complex mineralization containing copper, tin, uranium, silver, and arsenic. Discovered around 1907, the site saw periods of active underground mining, particularly during World War I and World War II, producing thousands of tons of high-grade copper and tin ore. Majuba Hill has gained world fame among mineral collectors for yielding exceptionally well-crystallized secondary copper and arsenic minerals, serving as the type locality for several rare species and providing magnificent specimens of clinoclase, olivenite, chalcophyllite, and pharmacosiderite.
