This recent discovery of Malachite from Mindingi mine in DR Congo has what we always want from new finds - a very distinctive appearance that sets itself apart from other finds. This is achieved by its almost organic-looking, flowing, bubbly, to grape-like growths draped across a Quartz-lined cavity. Dark forest-green in colour, each individual rounded Malachite growth presents a fine silky lustre with great chatoyancy meaning that it is particularly showy when it is moved around in the light. In superb condition this slightly larger cabinet piece presents really nicely.
