Not only does Kongsberg translate as King's Mountain, but it is also the King of localities for Native Silver specimens. At small cabinet size and with a dramatic form brought out further by its custom-made display stand, this superb classic is a significant specimen from this much loved locality, with little other than silver minerals present. It features an iconic curved robust wire of Native Silver, reaching 2.3 cm in length and 0.7 cm wide, rising up from a larger hackly mass of Native Silver and Acanthite. The Native Silver presents a range of colours, brought out through its tarnish, from bright pinkish metallic to silvery-grey. It comes with a custom-made acryllic display stand, positioning the specimen is a dramatic vertical pose. An impressively large Native Silver from this all-time classic occurrence.
