This slightly strange-shaped, dense, coarsely crystallized dark grey Acanthite with a little enclosed matrix is studded with small (2 to 3 mm) sharp cubes of Acanthite pseudomorphs after Argentite. A single, small hexagonal prismatic crystal of Pyrargyrite is also present. This is a very well-crystallized Acanthite after Argentite from the famous historic silver mining town of Freiberg in Saxony, and remains in very fine overall condition, especially the sharp Acanthite crystals. Ex Franz Lammer Collection.
