A splendid semi-hexagonal 4.0 x 4.0 x 0.6 cm crystal of bright metallic Molybdenite sat flat on top of a chocolate-brown to greenish matrix. On close inspection, the Molybdenite crystal is built from parallel malleable foliated layers. A great example of Molybdenite from Egan in Ottawa County, Canada.
