Harmotome is a relatively rare species of the zeolite group and is one of the iconic minerals from the St. Andreasberg mining district in the Harz Mountains of Lower Saxony, Germany. A light grey flat plate of Calcite is completely coated, on opposite faces and one side, with clear to translucent glassy Harmotome crystals to 8 mm.
