This is a really impressive Brucite specimen of strong color! The color is lemon yellow with great luster. The Brucite is in excellent condition and beautifully grown on a matrix. It is perfect without any damage at all! A very aesthetic specimen with a nice fresh color.

Brucite from Killa Saifullah District, Pakistan
The brucite from Killa Saifullah District is the modern locality that made a once-obscure species suddenly irresistible to fine-mineral collectors. Before the Pakistani material reached the international market, brucite was respected more often than loved: a soft magnesium hydroxide, Mg(OH)2, usually pale, waxy, fibrous, or massive, and only occasionally presentable. The Killa Saifullah finds changed that expectation with vivid lemon-yellow, translucent to gemmy botryoidal masses and rounded crystal aggregates that glow when backlit. The best pieces have a saturated color that looks almost improbable for the species, coupled with a soft internal luminosity and a sculptural, bubble-like surface.
